Due to the growing demand for our GripSox™ (non slip grip socks) product, we thought we should further explore their benefits and uses.

For this reason, we now have many hospitals and nursing homes throughout Australia performing in-house trials looking at how GripSox™ can be used as a falls prevention aid.

We also have two scientific clinical trials currently running and due for completion in the near future.

The first clinical trial is being run at The Friendly Society Private Hospital, Queensland and the second clinical trial is being undertaken at the Prince of Wales Medical Research Institute, New South Wales.

GripSox™ is proud to be assisting all these organisations in their bid to reduce the number of falls in the community.

LAUNDERING CLINICAL TRIALS

We have recently completed an independent clinical trial looking at how well GripSox™ withstand regular washing treatments, especially in a high temperature environment such as those required in hospitals and nursing homes for infection control.

The trial involved our GripSox™ product being repeatedly washed and dryed at least four times a day over a period of 30 days.

We are very pleased to report that the non-slip properties of the socks were unchanged following this intensive laundering process, with both the sock fabric and rubberised grip surface being unaltered.

These results make GripSox™ and ideal option for falls prevention in the hospital and nursing home setting.
